Friday is here!!!!
Happy Friday everyone, and Welcome to another blog post. Today was just another ordinary day, nothing super special went on...until lunch time. Garrett and I have lived here for about 3 months and we are always looking for new and exciting places to check out. A few weeks ago, our friend, Kristi, told Garrett about a burger place not too far from our house.
( We owe Kristi a BIG Thank You for her awesome recommendation!)
I didn't think much of it, although burgers are good, I thought it couldn't be much to brag about... Until today. Let me tell you something, anytime you take 3 of my favorite things (Romaine lettuce, Bacon, and Bleu cheese) you're going to have a winner. Although it was a bit pricey( thank goodness we don't eat there everyday) we soon found out it was worth the bill.
We each got a burger, But because they don't come with fries, we got a side order (to share of course) of "Half and Half" or as most people know them, fries and onion rings. But we were missing something still and after a quick look at the menu Garrett also added on one chocolate milkshake, (I'm not a big fan because I'm lactose intolerant) that I ended up stealing a few drinks of. As we made our way to the table, I kept thinking that these burgers couldn't be that special, Boy was I wrong.
The first thing to come to our table was the milkshake, and let me tell you something, (i would go back just for another one...) I mean, It was the best hand-scooped milk shake anywhere! Ok now onto the best part, the burgers. Garrett's burger was topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions with a garlic aioli (it was SO yummy) and mine was outfitted with bacon, bleu cheese, romaine and a garlic aioli. They were amazing, not to mention they were huge! The fries and rings were uncharacteristically wonderful as well, all in all our burger date was a great pick-me-up for an ordinary day. Other than luch today has been pretty slow, cleaning and laundry.
Tomorrow is our big shopping day and I couldnt be anymore excited! Im am so ready to shop 'til i drop (well, within our budget anyway). Im making sure I get plenty of sleep, wearing comfy shoes, and breaking out the most comfortable purse I own, there's nothing worse than your purse constantly falling off your shoulder while your out. And don't forget, only 9 shopping days left!
And of course the 4th day of Christmas craft I have for you today is an awesome DIY Christmas ornament that costs less than $5! Enjoy :)
