Olive oil, Cupcakes and Rain. 12/12/11

Well,
Its Monday again, and the only thing that made me really happy this morning, was when I woke up to the sound of rain. I love the rain, there is just something about it that relaxes and comforts me so much (it must be my New-England side). So Ive decided to change the number of blog posts I do a day once again. The final count is one every morning with pictures from the previous day, and I promise this is the last time I'm going to change it (but no pinky promises). Ok onto what I did yesterday. Yesterday went by so...slowly. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy lazy days, but yesterday I just wasn't feeling it. I assume Garrett could here my bogged down mood in my voice and he decided to surprise me with a red velvet cupcake from Casey's Cupcakes when he got home from work! Isn't he the best?! It definitely improved my mood. Don't judge me, I enjoy cupcakes :) I remembered last night that I still needed to write my blog, but decided I just wanted to hit the hay and I would include everything in this post (thus me changing the order of daily posts). So in today's blog you will get to see a fun body scrub idea, my wonderful cupcake and my favorite nails polish for this time of year, some other fun stuff and an adorable picture of Carson. You should probably get used to seeing the later, he gets his picture taken almost daily. I hope you all enjoy the rain :)

First up is this wonderful body scrub. All you need is extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and some form of citrus ( i forgot to take picture of my orange.) Mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with 3 tablespoons of sea salt, Cut your citrus in half and mix 1 teaspoon of citrus juice into your salt oil mixture. Take the juiced half of your citrus and stuff your mixture into the fruit. The next step is the best, and i usually do this part in the shower, before i turn on the water. Take your stuffed fruit and scrub all over you body, let sit for a few minuets and rise off. You will have the softest, silkiest skin ever! I would only suggest doing this once a month as a deep exfoliation.
I used dead sea salt, and Mediterranean olive oil.

The most important thing is that you don't scrub too hard, sea salt is very course!

Next up is my wonderful cupcake. I absolutely love the packaging, its super fun, and really makes for a more enjoyable dessert! The cupcake it self was so good, and i love that they still look homemade :)

Here is your Carson picture of the day, wet face and all!

And last but not least, these are our elf donuts. They are made out of cheerios, and are meant to be left with Santa's cookies on Christmas eve...Elves deserve a treat too, after all they make all the toys, Santa just delivers them!

Thanks for reading, Have a great day, and Stay warm
-Stephanie :)
