When i got on my computer to write this mornings blog i noticed that for some reason both my blogs from yesterday didn't post :/ So tonight's blog will include the pictures from yesterdays blog also. I cant believe its the 11th of December already, i feel like yesterday was the 4th of July! When i was little and adults would say "this year has flown by" i always used to think "yeah right, its taken FOREVER for Christmas to get here", but now that I'm finally an adult i understand what everyone was talking about. It makes me sad in a way, it kind of makes me think i don't enjoy everyday like i used to when i was younger. Everyone gets so wrapped up in work, and bills and everything else that adults have to worry about, and there is never room to have fun, unless its scheduled. I guess i just miss thinking a year was a long time. Along the same lines, isn't it strange how the excitement for the holidays changes as you get older? For the last few years Ive been trying to trick myself into the child-like excitement i remember, but it just doesn't seem the same. It sounds funny to reference a kids movie right now, but about 5 years ago i watched The Polar Express with my family. In the movie a little boy takes a train ride with other kids to Santa's workshop. Santa ends up giving the little boy a jingle bell, and as long as the little boy still believes in Christmas magic, he will still her the noise it makes. As he grows up the jingle of the bell becomes faint and after a few years he can no longer hear it. The first time i watched it, i always thought "no matter how old i get i will always be excited for Christmas", but just like the movie, as Ive gotten older, the excitement has died down. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE CHRISTMAS :) but i just wish i was still amazed by the magic of it all. Now that i sound like a complete downer, lets change the subject. Today is finish the laundry day. insert joke about the laundry fairy here. Well i better be on my way, i have a big basket of whites staring at me to put them away, but to make things fun, I'm going to watch There's Something About Mary while i fold them :)
See you this evening :)
